Converting Repeating Decimals to Fractions

x=0.7777...         10x=7.7777...
therefore 9x=7  so x=7/9 

Update:  For more complicated numbers you need to multiply by the 10 to the power of the number of digits  that repeats itself  

Interesting that it may be possible to calculate this with a computer program using the modulus operator to check for a whole number.
