Newly crowned world number 1, Rafael Nadal from Spain has reached the semi-finals of the US Open men's singles by defeating Mardy Fish 3-6, 6-1, 6-4 , 6-2. He will face Andy Murray who defeated Juan Martin Del Potro
7-6 (2), 7-6 (1), 4-6, 7-5.
World Number 2, Roger Federer will play Gilles Muller in another quarter-final later, while world number 3 Novak Djokovic will face Andy Roddick.
