Recognizing concavity

Update:

The second derivative, is more than 0 wherever the function is concaved up. It is less than 0 when it is concaved down.

 This can be quite hard to understand so I assume
Concaved up - slope is getting more positive
Concaved down - slope is  getting less positive.
